About Me
I recently graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University, earning my degree in Cyber Security & Digital Forensics. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a deep passion for protecting digital environments and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data. My studies have equipped me with a strong foundation in network security, ethical hacking, risk assessment, incident response, and hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and technologies.
During my time at university, I actively participated in various cybersecurity projects, including penetration testing exercises, vulnerability assessments, and developing secure systems. Throughout my three years of studying, I have attained a broad array of skills including network and internet forensics, network security, and file systems forensics and analysis. Along with that came my confidence in software such as Autopsy, FTK and Volatility. Naturally, these being Linux based continued my experience with Kali/ Ubuntu. Also over the three years of studying came fluency in Python and Java. For instance, in my Wireless Denial-of-Service Project, I conducted a comprehensive investigation of simulating Denial-of-Service attacks on a target machine, identifying vulnerabilities and improving monitoring strategies with the use of Python scripts to reduce analysis time. This experience honed my ability to analyse complex network packet data and develop effective solutions to reduce analysis time.
Beyond University, I have created this project; ‘BlueBaylon’ with support from Tyburn St Raphael to expand my knowledge on the DFIR industry and to provide a community platform for others to use. BlueBaylon is also a way for me to gain experience within the industry and provide some real-world work as I aim to grow as a Cyber Security professional.
Any feedback, tips and ideas for BlueBaylon will be more than welcomed and taken onboard. I hope you enjoy the website!
